All of the staff at Caledonia Junior High would like to express our sadness for your loss. The passion and dedication of Kayla as a young Teacher is very clear, and her sudden passing is felt across our whole profession in Nova Scotia. We know and understand that the young people whose lives Kayla has enriched, will be a lasting legacy. From across the province our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.

I worked with Kayla at Guysborough Academy. Kayla's smile was truly infectious. She lit up any room she walked into. Kayla will be very missed by all that met her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. She will never be forgotten

Knowing what it is like to lose someone so close, there are just no words that can do any justice. Our hearts go out to you. Praying that some day you will be able to find peace in the knowledge that she has.

All of the members of the Faculty of Education were saddened to learn of Kayla's tragic and sudden death. She is remembered here in our Faculty with great fondness as a dedicated teacher. We are deeply sorry for her loss to her family and friends and to the wider education community.
