Condolences
Heartfelt condolences to the family prayers sent to all.
I am so sad to hear of Susan's passing and for your loss. Mimi always spoke highly of and had great admiration for your mom. When I think of one I can't help but remember the other in the support they shared through the years as neighbours, volunteers and as members of the church body which they both cherished. Susan was unrivalled in her dedication to her community and I will remain grateful that she extended that loyalty to my mom, a woman who also understood the purpose of dedication to a cause but not entirely convinced it should be extended to kitchen chat. It did not help in her struggle to shed the mantle of being a person from "away". Your mother was one of a few of her generation who clearly understood her and for that I am, once again, grateful. They looked out for, then maintained a concern for one another's wellbeing until they could no more. For many of us Susan's name will remain synonymous with D'Escousse and now she takes another piece of it with her to heaven. Mom will be one of many to welcome her.
