Obituary of Martha Elizabeth Peddle

It is with sadness that we, the family of Martha Peddle announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother and sister that occurred on July 31, 2016 at the St. Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish with her loving family by her side. Born in Little Anse, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Minnie (Sampson) Sampson. She is survived by her, daughters, Wanda Sagan, Toronto; Helena Davis, Ontario; son, Phillip Haglund, Ontario; grandchildren, Frank, Helena, Phillip, Wanda, Robbie, Cathy, John, Barbara and 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Samson, Yvonne Field and Edith Marchand all of Louisdale; brothers, Alfred A. Sampson (Barbara), Halifax; Leopold Samson (Eileen) and Harold (Linda) both of Louisdale. Martha will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 1st husband Wally Haglund and her 2nd husband, Robert "Bob" Peddle; son Frank Haglund; sister, Mary Marchand; brothers, Leo and Ralph Samson. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation as per request.Funeral Mass will be held August 22, 2016 in St. Louis Church, Louisdale with Rev. Callistus Abazie officiating. Burial will be held in the Star of the Sea Cemetery in Petit De Grat. Memorial donation can be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat.
