I believe we should all be encouraged by Brenda's positive attitude throughout her life, her love of family and her obvious contribution to the community. She was an exceptional person. I also appreciate the friendship between her parents and my parents that allowed me to meet Brenda on several, but too few, occasions. sincere condolences As requested, I intend to make a donation to the Palliative Care Society in memory of their care during Brenda's illness. As a Dundee neighbour and long-time friend of Brenda and her family, I was deeply saddened to here of her passing. Brenda and I worked closely on church-related events and she was always a joy to be around. To Merlin and your children, I will be unable to attend Brenda's visitation or funeral service but I needed you to know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve the loss of such a wonderful person. I'd like to share this poem with you: When a loved one is gone, And you still carry on With heavy and aching hearts; When a dear voice is stilled, There's a space left unfilled In a world that's been torn far apart. When you're left all alone, And your heart's turned to stone, And it seems that there's no one to care; Try recalling the pleasures, The good times, the treasures, And find peace in the memories you share. That is my deepest wish for you, Brenda's family. With deepest sympathy, Holly MacIntosh
Please accept this expression of our deep sympathy for you and your family.
Merlin, Treena & Adrian: Mom & Dad have given us weekly progress reports on Brenda's illness & I have kept her in my thoughts & prayers. Brenda was a wonderful person & will be missed by all who knew her. My last memory of her was at Mom & Dad's 50th wedding anniversay celebration. Dear Merlin, Treena & Adrian &Brenda"s family, I am so very sorry to hear about the death of your mother. She was a real special person who welcomed everyone and always had respect and cared for all people. She was a good, caring, giving person who helped organizations, groups and was always there to lend a willing hand if she was able. It is very hard to lose a parent but take with you all the fact that your mother was a special person who looked at what a person was like inside and did not look at the outward appearance of a person. I know for me, i found her to be friendly, always a hello when she met you and how you were thus putting some sunshine in your day. Again my hearfelt sympathy to you all plus her family. The days ahead will be difficult for you all but be assured your mother has left an imprint on people who met and worked with her no matter what she did. My prayers are with you all at this time and will keep you all in my prayers.
Dear Merlin and family, Please accept my sincere condolences during this very difficult time. You and all the family and friends of Brenda will miss her greatly; and, I am sure God is and will be with you through it all. May Brenda rest in God's Loving Arms for all eternity. April 23, 2007 Dear Merlin and Family, I heard about Brenda's Passing and I wanted to offer mine and my husband Rocky's Sympathy and Prayer. I know Brenda was a Cursista and I am not sure if I worked weekends with her but I believe my sister Bin may have worked with her. I did however go to see her in the hospital and was glad I did. She is a wonderful lady and very courageous. I marvelled at her good Humour and Strong Faith. Your daughter was with her at the time and very attentive to her Mom. Those are the gifts we visitors receive when we go to visit. We see the gift of Love in action. I have heard your name mentioned by Rosa, always in the kindest way and so I know of you and your family and I believe we are distantly related. My cousin Edna Marchand called to let us know the news but we were unable to get down to Louisdale. Having delt with sickness and the big "C" we know how important it is to know people are thinking of you all and praying for you in times of great trials. God Bless you all as you experience alot of different emotions Joy for having been blessed by Brenda's presence in your lives and the Sadness of her absence from you, but the great Consolation of knowing she is just a warm thought and prayer away. God bless you all and keep you in Peace. Theresa & Rocky Doucet Sydney A donation has been made to the cancer society in memory of Brenda.

Boudreau Family, Elton and I want to send along our condolences for your great loss. Dundee will not be the same without Brenda. I particularly like the part in the obituary about her being so positive. She never let anything get her down. What a truly great gift with which to be blessed! Even last summer when she was not feeling her best she insisted that our whole family come up to Dundee for the day. That is huge considering our family travels in packs of 10 or more! I know how much you will miss her and we want you to know that we will miss her too. Take care of each other. Val and Elton

I had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Boudreau upon one of her visits to see Treena in Mississauga. We both taught together at the time. It was obvious where Treena gets her generousity and friendliness from - it comes naturally! Her mother was smiling and greeted me with open arms and a hug - a real east coast welcome. Our time together was short but memorable. I know it was her final wish to be with her family, especially her new granddaughter . Treena and I got together before she left Mississauga and I knew then that her decision to be with her mother and family during this time was wise, and will always be remembered as one of the best decisions of her life. My prayers are with the family, and especially with Mrs. Boudreau who lived life as it was meant to be, fought life's battles with courage and faith, and treasured the gifts of family and friends. May she rest peacefully and watch over those who knew and loved her as we go forward with her memory. God welcomes her to a world we can only dream of knowing one day.
