Obituary of Teresa Margaret Stephens
STEPHENS, Teresa Margaret, St. Peter’s/Potlotek
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Teresa Margaret Stephens - of St. Peter’s, formerly of Potlotek, that occurred at her residence at the Richmond Villa in St. Peter’s on May 16, 2018. Born in Potlotek on November 19, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Noel and Isabel (Morris) Stephens. Teresa was employed for many years as a Registered Nurse. She was a firm believer in helping and giving to people in need and never once hesitated to go and assist anyone in need, whether she knew you or not. She was a special lady and a special nurse. She always did her work over and above her call of duty to all whether she knew you or not. Teresa loved going to Keltic Concerts and never missed the Stan Rogers Festival. She will be truly missed by her family and all who had the opportunity of knowing her. She is survived by her sons, Robert Bernard Andrews, Christopher Noel Andrews both of Potlotek, Jonathan Douglas Andrews, Halifax; grandchildren, Eric, Hope, Faith and Emmett; great grandchild, Nevaeh; sister, Irene Gould, Potlotek. Besides her parents, Teresa was predeceased by brothers, Joseph Levi amd George Melvin; sister, Rosanne Murray. Visitation will be held in the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Chapel in Potlotek from 7pm on Tuesday May 22nd till 10am onThursday, May 24th. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Peter’s Church on Thursday afternoon at 1pm on May 24th with Rev. Antolin Asor presiding. Burial to take place in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Barra Head. A Salite will be held following the committal in the Potlotek Community Hall in Potlotek.
