LeBlanc, Mary Gloria, 76 – Petit de Grat

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Gloria LeBlanc, of Petit de Grat, that occurred at home on October 4^th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Left to mourn her passing is her loving husband Claude of 42 years; daughter, Karen Stewart (Michael), Antigonish; Sons, Kevin (Donna), Middle Sackville, Sheldon (Sandra), Goshen, Alfred (Donna), Upper Sackville, Warren (Cindy), Petit de Grat; grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Cameron, Katie, Devin, Emma, Amber and Chloe; brothers, Vincent (Claire), Boudreauville; sister, Viola Samson, Arichat. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Oscar Olsen; brothers, John and Colin; sisters, Edith Samson, Rita Smith, Jeanne Landry, Elean David.

Gloria’s undaunting faith in God and her precious angels were the strength that carried her through her most difficult journey.  This journey was made with compassion and support from the help and kindness of the Continuing and Home Care Workers, Nurses and Dr. Steven DeRoche.

Community minded, Gloria was always eager to lend a helping hand.  Along with her husband Claude, Gloria spent countless hours preparing meals for seniors at the New Horizon Senior Centre. She was a member of St. Joseph’s C.W.L., Petit de Grat. Gloria will always be remembered for her boundless energy while driving, camping, travelling, socializing and hosting a houseful of people.

Gloria will be remembered for her loving smile, laughter, dancing and singing.  Always sewing, knitting, and baking, there wasn’t anything that she couldn’t do. Gloria, as reflected in her name, had a striking beauty and splendor that evoked feelings of delighted admiration.  Her greatest gift to all was her love and compassion for her grandchildren and family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 9^th, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday October 10^h in St. Joseph’s Church in Petit de Grat at 11:00 a.m. with Father Michel Exalant officiating assisted by Father Dan Doucet. Burial to follow at a later date. A reception will be held at New Horizons Senior Centre, following the Mass.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Ann Centre, Star of the Sea Cemetery Fund or to the charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H.
