My Deepest Sympathy to your family at this time of your Great Loss! May your cherished memories, and the love and caring of family and friends, be a comfort to you as you deal with Willard's passing. He was a lovely, honest, deacent man; and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
I first met Willard while in grade 7 at the Ilse Madame High School small engine repair shop. I would have been 12 years old (36 years ago). I remember him most for his way of making me feel special. He encouraged me, he gave me praise, he believed in me. I can't help but think that he touched many kids in the same way. It was a special gift he had and shared with others. Later, during Premium's early years, he was our #1 refrigeration man. He slowly weaned us away as he aged and as we grew. He was a kind and good man. he seen the good in people. Please accept our deepest sympathies during this time of sorrow and hope that you find peace of heart and mind knowing that he is now in good hands. Alice, Brian and Family.
Several times our family benefitted from Willard's kindness. On a moments notice he would come to our home when we had three small children to repair our fridge. He wouldn't accept payment from us and I'm sure we were one of the many families he helped in his community. Our sincere sympathy to his family. Cecile & Frederick Hyland

It was with great sadness that I read of the passing of Willard. I recall when he came to our home to repair the furnace and seeing him work on outboard motors and other mechanical equipment when hanging out with Lloyd at his home. He provided an important service to the community. With fond memories I attended his classes in welding and small engine repair. I often sought refuge in his classroom when skipping another class. He would see me through the narrow glass pane in his classroom door and let me in. I appreciated his competent instruction. Not only was he an accomplished man in his various professions, he was also a generous individual. I recall when Lloyd and I would seek him out at the school after hours and Lloyd would ask his Father "Can I have some money?" Without saying a word or any hesitation, Willard would remove from his pocket a large wallet attached to his belt by a chain and give Lloyd a two dollar bill. In those days, over forty years ago, two dollars was a lot of money. Off we would go to the store and Lloyd would ask me "What kind of pop do you want?" I would always say "Any kind." Lloyd's reply was "They don't have that kind." On reflection, if anyone asked me if the community had a genuine, intelligent, mild mannered, family minded and generous individual, I would say, "Yes, we have that kind," and in Willard we did. My deepest sympathies to the George family at this difficult time - Joachim

Dear Lorna and family, Sorry to hear about the passing of Willard...
May you and your family be comforted by the many warm thoughts of those that care.
Lorna & Family : We know that you have been deeply moved by the loss of your loving husband and father. Our memories of Willard will always be of a quiet, friendly gentleman and an absolutely brilliant mechanic who could fix anything that was remotely fixable. At work (school), he was most certainly cooperative, helpful, dependable, patient, knowledgeable, and very much liked by both, his students and colleagues. During this trying time in your lives, you are in our thoughts and in our prayers. Hoping that time will slowly erase the pain in your hearts and unveil the memory of happy times. Our deepest sympathy, Dave & Ann Marie Forgeron (currently in Toronto)
