I was taken back when I heard the news of Art's passing. I had the good fortune of meeting Art at a umpires clinic in 2001. He had a positive and immediate impact on the baseball community. It was always great to see Art when he would be in town watching the NSSBL playoffs. I would joke with him asking who he would be cheering for tonight. His face would light up and say..."the third team" (The umpires) Rest in Peace Art.

Arthur's passing immediately brought back memories of meeting him back in '77 while coaching the Yarmouth Gateways. I also had the pleasure of umpiring with him over the years, the community and baseball has lost a dedicated member. My condolences to your family.

Dan/Heather so sorry to hear of your dad's passing Dan - loosing a parent as I know is so very hard and your family circle is broken but the memories and good times will after a time become a joy and easier to visit.
