I was taken back when I heard the news of Art's passing. I had the good fortune of meeting Art at a umpires clinic in 2001. He had a positive and immediate impact on the baseball community. It was always great to see Art when he would be in town watching the NSSBL playoffs. I would joke with him asking who he would be cheering for tonight. His face would light up and say..."the third team" (The umpires) Rest in Peace Art.
Dear Lorraine, Debbie and Larry, Robert and Dan, Thinking of you and sending our love and prayers. Remember the laughs, the love, the great stories that will bring smiles and count on friends and family to lean on through it all. Lisa and Dan Bedell (Lisa Bowden)
