McGrath, Wilfred Matthew �" 84, Janvrin's Island, passed away on Dec. 18, 2007 at St. Martha's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in D'Escousse, he was the son of the late James and Hortense (Poirier) McGrath. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gertie (George), his daughters, Angela (Bob Woodman), Janvrin's Island, Dianne (Nazaire Martell), Hampton NB, Debra, Fall River, Judy (James Landry), Janvrin's Island, Connie (Ronald LeBlanc), St. Mary's, Lucy (Clinton Landry), Arichat; sons, Wade, Arichat, Bruce (Susan Fougere), Janvrin's Island, Fabian, Edmonton, and Mitchell, Janvrin's Island, as well as 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Sanford (Theresa), Dartmouth, and sisters Edna George, Petit De Grat, Marion Miller, Sackville, and Lorraine (Edmund George), Port Hawkesbury. He was predeceased by his daughter Sonya, granddaughter Tara, and grandson Kirk, brothers Stephen, Francis, and sister Mildred Pelham. Wilfred was an electrician by trade, and loved his family with all his heart, and especially enjoyed playing with his grandkids, watching old westerns, reading a book, and playing cards. Visitation will be held from 2-9pm on Friday at C. H. Boudreau's Funeral Home, Arichat. Funeral mass will be at 11am on Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church, West Arichat. Donations may be made to the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
