Obituary of Francis Joseph McDonald

MacDonald, Francis Joseph-85, D'escousse passed away peacefully at the Strait Richmond Hospital, in Evanston on February 1, 2013. He was the son of the late Charlie and Eva Jane (LeBlanc) MacDonald. Francis was a former employee of the Department of Transportation where he worked as a Heavy Machinery Operator, a Snow-Plow driver from where he retired at the age of 65 as the area foreman. Since his retirement he enjoyed staying active and helping his family in any way that he could. He loved going with Tom on Thursday nights to the 45 card play in D'Escousse. He loved mowing his lawn, bingo and most of all beating his children and grandchildren at crib. He loved his wife dearly and is now they are together again. Francis will be sadly missed by his daughters, Mary Linda (Kenny) Boudreau, Poulamon, Beverly Ann Boudreau, Arichat, Darlene Marie (Tom) MacDonald, D'Escousse; son Wayne (Adorna), Mt.Uniacke; grandchildren, Dylan (Kara), Tara (Peter), Melissa (Steve), Nathan (Jade), Leo III, Erin (Josh), Kyle and Kailum; great grandchildren, Avery, Isaac, Sophie, Duncan and Alexander; brother's, Hubert (Eleanor) Sydney, Leonard (Emily) Louisdale; He was predeceased by his wife the former Anna Phyllis (Shannon) MacDonald, brothers, Vernie, Valma and Stephen P; sisters, Sophie Baxter, Isabelle Bourque and Hazel Burke and son-in-law Leo Boudreau II. Visitation will be held in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm and on Monday morning from 11:30 - 1:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday afternoon at St. Hyacinth Church in D'escousse at 2pm with Rev. Andrew Gillies officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Hyacinth Parish Cemetery in D'escousse in the Spring. Memorial donations can be made to St. Hyacinth Cemetery Fund.
