Obituary of Rudolphe Joseph Covin

COVIN, Rudolphe Joseph - 77, West Arichat. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Rudolphe on May 26, 2013 at home in West Arichat, surrounded by his loving family. Born in West Arichat, he was a son of the late Peter and Emily (Fougere) Covin. Rudolphe was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He worked for the Department of Transportation for 30+ years. He also leaves behind his legacy of his contracting business, which was his true passion. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 41 years Mary (David) Covin, West Arichat; daughter, Kathleen (Warren) Jeffrey, Louisdale' sons, Peter (Rhonda), David (Paula) both of West Arichat; grandchildren, Josh, Emma, Chantal, Hailey, Tyler, Emily, Cheyenne, Tanner; sisters, Priscilla Covin, Montreal, Lottie Shaheen, Sydney, Violet Pitts, West Arichat. He was predeceased by twins in infancy, sisters, Laura, Evangeline, and Evelyn; brothers, Leo, Ernest, Amedee and Harold. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Rudolphe will be held on Thursday morning, May 30th at 11 am, in the Immaculate Conception Church, West Arichat with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial to take place at a later date. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to EHS, First Responders, Isle Madame Volunteer Fire Department, RCMP the Nurses and staff of the Strait Richmond Hospital and the QE11 Health Science Centre.
