Obituary of Annie Catherine Sampson

Sampson (Smyth), Annie Catherine - 89, River Bourgeois. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Annie passed away peacefully at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston, surrounded by her loved ones on August 30, 2013. Born in Judique, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Joann (MacDonald) Smyth. Annie is the last surviving member of her immediate family.She is survived by her children, Gale Hamm (late Robert), Halifax, Lorraine Elliott (Robert), Montreal, Cecilia Rasmussen (Steve), New Glasgow, Donald Sampson, Halifax, Patricia Sampson, Halifax, Joan Burke (Kelly), River Bourgeois, and another very special daughter, Karen Smart (Audas), Halifax; grandchildren, Terry, Robin, Amy, James, Melanie, John, Tracy, Sheena, Jennifer, Brittany, Kyle, Sandi and Liam; great grandchildren, Ceilidh, Adam, Molly, Kaitlyn, Maya, Claire, Lucas, Olivia and Jade. She was predeceased by her husband, John (Johnnie) J. Sampson; brothers, A.D., Raymond, Laughlin and Paul; sister, Isabel; great grandson, Ethan. Visitation will be held in the River Bourgeois Community Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-9 pm.Funeral Mass will be held Monday morning in St John the Baptist Church, River Bourgeois at 10,with Rev. Dennis Lamey officiating. Burial in St John the Baptist Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Hospital Palliative Care Society or to St John the Baptist Parish Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H.
