Condolences
Albert will always be remembered as a kind and loving person. Just a reminder that my family will always remember how kind Albert's family was in our time of need when our mom and Albert were at the St. Richmond Hospital. Your kindness will never be forgotten, just as Albert's memory will be with us forever. This is a difficult time of year for us all, but with great friends and neighbours, we will excel.
I was saddened to hear of Albert's passing. Our heart felt sympathies goes out to the whole family. Take care and god bless.
My deepest condolences to the Samson family for your loss. Anyone who knew Albert would without a doubt say there was a kind and gentleness about him. How fortunate we have all been to have known such a man. Those of us who were fortunate to have taken a light footed lead around the dance floor with him know that he will continue to encase those closest to him in his arms and lead them around the dance floor of life. May he rest in peace.
To the Samson family...Our deepest condolences to you all. Albert was a very generous, kind and nice man whom will be greatly missed. Both of us has had the opportunity to work and know Albert and he was a great person, we will miss his stories and his positive outlook on life.
Kathleen & To All Albert's extended family: We were very saddened to hear of his passing. We had continued to find out how he was doing from Aunt Jacqueline and have been praying for him for quite some time. We know he had great courage and did not give up easy. He is now finished suffering and is with his Father in heaven. May God give you all the courage & strength in the days ahead. It is very difficult to let a loved one go, but it is so much more difficult to watch the suffering as he was doing. We pray you will take comfort in all the good memories he left behind. May God Bless You All! Love: Peter & Linda Samson Brampton, Ontario.

Albert was not only one of my greatest friends.. he was an amazing support system for me. He never once failed to visit while i was in Cape Breton each and every time. We spent countless hours talking, he never once complained of anything. I was blessed to know him and I will be forever grateful for his friendship an loving man/friend he was to me. I have so many fond memories of him. He love my children and he loved me as the thought of not getting a tect saying hello beautiful or hows my princess today saddens me to my core...I know that he would want me to

So glad I got to spend sometime with him during the festival this year and how positive his outlook was on life in general. Too many losses for one family in a short period of time. Just know that he, Deborah and your dad are all celebrating Xmas in heaven tonight!. Stay strong and know that we are thinking about you as you face these tough days ahead. I knew Albert through the Legion. He went to every dance at both local branches, danced every dance and was very light on his feet. He will be very much, missed.
I knew of Albert all my life, but I got to know him one day in January of 2013. I knew he had been a member of AA for a long time and that he had been sober a long time as well, so that was a testament to his will and fortitude to begin with. But when he walked into my house last January, and informed me of his struggle against cancer and how he had already recieved a stint in his esophagus...BUT that he wanted to fight as long as possible...this told me something more of his will to live and his courage. We spoke of various alternative cancer treatments that I had stumbled upon and although they weren't ''scientifically proven'', he looked into some of the things we spoke of. The doctors had given him a very short time to live and at the very least, he wanted to prolong his life and possibly cure this horrible disease. Although I didn't talk to him regularly, whenever we'd run into each other we'd talk and he'd tell me how he was doing and he'd alway express thanks for the talks we'd had, inspite of the fact that he was still losing his battle. He drove his car, went to dances, smiled and never wanted pity....not many of us could stay that strong in the face of such adversity. May you rest in peace Albert and may the love of Jesus Christ envelop your family through these tough times. One day at a time my friend, rest easy!!
