Obituary of Sophie Beatrice Bona

It's with great sadness that we the family of Sophie Beatrice Bona, 86 of L'Ardoise, have to announce her passing on Jan. 4, 2013 at St. Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish surrounded by her loving family. Born in Halifax, Beatrice was the daughter of the late William and Emma (Taylor) Evong. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by daughters Patricia Ann Landry (Daniel), Madeline Boyle (Joe), Hazel Samson (Glenn); sons David (Gladys), Billy (Margaret), Donald (Bernadette), Stanley (Michelle); 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Fred Cornelius Bona; 3 children in infancy; brothers Richard and Louis. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 - 9 p.m. in the Holy Guardian Angel Funeral Home, L'Ardoise. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday morning January 6, 2014 at 11:00 at Holy Guardian Angel Church, L'Ardoise with Rev. Lourdusamy Mariadoss officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Guardian Angel Parish Cemetery, L'Ardoise at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or to the Charity of your choice.
