Obituary of Joseph Sanford Boudreau
Please share a memory of Joseph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
BOUDREAU, Joseph Sanford - 81 The youngest, warmest, non-judging heart stopped beating when Sanford Boudreau of Alderney Point lost his fight to cancer on June 4, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Born in Alderney Point, was the son of the late J. Albany and Clemence (Samson) Boudreau. He died at peace as he got his wish dying at home with dignity in his own bed. A man with no trade but a master of many you could count on him to fix anything at any time. He excelled at carpentry and left his mark on many, many homes all over the place. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him and to quote his favorite saying We'll see you again someday pap "if God is willing." He is survived by his most prized possessions his children Doreen (Maurice) Petit De Grat and Allan (Roberta) Halifax; grandkids Shenice (Dennis), Matthew, Damien (Ambrah), and Jonquil, who he adored and spent countless time with making unforgettable memories they will treasure forever. He was blessed to be able to watch his great grandkids Crüz, Kylie and Réal Sanford as he counted on his left hand the days he could not visit them. They were his treasures and brought him so much joy during his life and most difficult last few months. He was also blessed to be able to hold his newest great grandson Réal Sanford who miraculously made an appearance on May 20th when only due on June 6th.; brothers Nicholas, Alderney Point, Walter (Edith), Winnepeg; sisters Gladys, Violet (Allan), Merina all of Alderney Point, Wanita, Arichat, Doris (Rudolph), Samson's Cove. He is also survived by his Estranged wife Rita (Landry) Boudreau, Woodstock, Ont. Visitation will be held tomorrow from 2-4 & 7-9pm in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd, Arichat. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday morning at 10am in St. Joseph Church, Petit de Grat with Rev. Andrew Gillies officiating. Burial will follow in the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat. A reception will be held following the committal in St. Joseph Parish Hall, Petit De Grat. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (NS) or to St. Anne's Community & Nursing Care Centre, Arichat. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd, Arichat.
