Obituary of Mary Emily McDonald

McDonald - It is with deep sadness and regret that we, the family announce the passing our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, loving wife and friend to many, Mary Emily McDonald of Louisdale who passed away on Wednesday, June 18th, 2014 at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Louisdale, on September 18, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Celina (Burns) Marchand. Emily loved going to bingo and playing a good game of cards. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Leonard ; daughters, Janice (Terry) Marchand, Debbie (Gary) Samson both of Louisdale, Carol (Ron) Shute, Falmouth; grandchildren, Sherry, Ryan, Chad, Holly, Amber and Connor; great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Kyle, Ryker, Shealynn, and Brielle; brothers, Johnny (Delores), Wilfred (Leona), both of Louisdale; sisters, Deloris (Clem) Theriault, Arichat, Eleanor (Adrian) Boudreau, Petit De Grat. Visitation will be held in the Glen Sampson Room in Louisdale, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian farewell will be held at St. Louis Church, Louisdale Saturday morning at 11 with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial to follow in the St Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. Donations can be made to Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or to St Louis Parish Cemetery Fund.
