Earle and Helen. Our deepest sympathy. Your dad certainly lived a good long life which makes it that much harder to lose him as he was so much part of the lives of all of you. We are so sorry we are unable to attend but we are thinking of you and sending our kindest wishes to you and your family. Allister and Anne Marie (Brierly Brook)

Miss you already Uncle Francis. Pondville will never be the same nor my visits where we could play cribbage all afternoon without realizing the hours flew by! Love Lisa Maltby, Al and Christopher
So deeply saddend to hear of Grandpa/Great Grandpas passing. Truly a gentle spirit and a pillar of strength to his family and many dear friends. He will truly be missed and will continue to live on in our hearts and memories as one of the greatest men we were blessed to have touched our lives. Rest in peace Grandpa your work is done. Time to play many a card game with the angels. Forever loved, forever remembered.

Earl, Leona, Roy and extended family members, I just want you to know how much Uncle Francis meant to me and how I will cherish all the wonderful memories of growing up in Pondville and having him as my neighbor; I learned to skate on his pond and spent countless hours there after school and on weekends; played till dark in his park on the other side of the pond and the whole lot of village kids would spend our summers playing Kick the Can or Hide and Seek on his property across the road where the old power house used to be. Sledding down the hill will not be forgotten either nor his fresh veggies from the garden. Lastly, as an adult things would change and my visits became more infrequent but each one meant so much to me. We still managed to find the time for quite a few games of cribbage in the afternoon and although I would like to think that I could beat him sometime, it never really happened and for sure that made him smile. His passing is very sad and the days to come will be difficult but you will find peace in the days to come as well because he lived a long and healthy life, had a beautiful family and he has left us with wonderful memories to cherish forever. Thinking of all of you and sending my Love. Lisa Maltby
Deepest sympathies for you, Keith and your family, on the passing of your Grandfather. Everyone here in the Maintenance Department also wish to extend their condolences. Our thoughts are with you. I remember you telling me about your grandfather, how he worked at Nova Scotia Power, and how he still drove and was independent at his age and I could tell you were found and respected him. I hope you find peace and solace in the company of family and friends at this difficult time.
Earl and family: I am so sorry to hear about your father's passing this week. Karen and I both know what it feels like to lose our parents. You had your father with you for longer than most do. You should be thankful for that in this time of sadness. Growing up in Pondville would not have been the same without your father and his brothers, I think if them often. Your father is now with your mother, his brothers, sister and all of his friends from Isle Madame. He will be missed. My prayers are with you folks at this sad time....RIP Francis.
