Obituary of Annette Mary Landry

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annette Mary Landry, at the age of 81, on October 5, 2014 at home in Bedford with her family by her side. Born on April 12, 1933, in Petit-de-Grat, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Aline (Martell) Landry. She is survived by her sisters, Amelia Martell of Bedford, Leona Samson of Samson's Cove, Virginia (Rudolph) Samson of Louisdale; sister-in-law Betty Boucher of Petit de Grat; nieces and nephews, Helen, Ron, Doug, Doreen, Bernice, Greg, Charlene, Sam, Carrie, Brenda, Marlene, Wanda and Lorna, and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and great-grand-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother Rennie Landry; brothers-in-law Joseph Martell and Anthony Samson, nephew Lucien Martell and grand-niece Stacy Samson. She worked at the local fish plant for 39 years until it closed. She loved to play cards and bingo. She loved to spent time and play with children and enjoyed this pleasure up to the end from the visits of her great-grand-nephews Liam and MacConnell. Annette will be sadly missed and forever remembered. May she rest in peace! Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home. 633 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Arichat from 2 - 9 pm and on Friday from 9 - 10 am. Funeral Mass will be held Friday morning October 10, 2014 at 11 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Petit de Grat with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating. Cremation will follow. Burial will be held in the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Sainte Anne Center or a charity of your choice.
