Landry, Ida Rose - 102, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2014 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish. Born in Salem, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Delima (Chouinard) Labrie. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Carpenter (Robert), Maine; grandchildren, Dana, Claudine, Robert and Susan; great grandchildren, Tracy, Darlene, Lana, Samantha, Tyrone, Linda, Mae, Johnny, Gus, Natasha, Bryan, Tyler and Steven; great-great grandchildren, Natasha, Callum and Nessa; sister, Lorraine Belanger, Salem, Mass. She was predeceased by her first husband, Alexander Poirier, second husband, Hubert A. "Gus" Landry; son, Alfred; daughter, Linda; grandson, Brian; brother, Archie Labrie; sisters, Ann Ouellette and Lucy Clark. Visitation will be held at C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat on Friday morning at 11 with Rev, Doug MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in St Hyacinth Cemetery, D'Escousse. Memorial donations can be made to the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home in Antigonish or to St. Hyacinth Cemetery Fund.
