Obituary of Clement Alexander Theriault

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a great husband, dad and grandfather Clem Theriault of Arichat, in the loving arms of his wife, Delores, on Friday, March 20, 2015 after a long battle with a lung disease. Born on January 20, 1936, he was the son of the late Alexander and Delvina (Fougere) Theriault. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Delores and his only daughter Paulette Dalley (Reg) and Clem's pride of his life, grandson Justin Dalley all of Dartmouth He is also survived by his brothers, Paul (Ann), Ralph (Geraldine) both of Arichat; Leon of Halifax; sisters, Priscilla Kennedy, Dartmouth and Lavina Britten, Port Hawkesbury. He was predeceased by his sister Delima and brothers Francis, Lubin, and Alfred. Clem worked for the Department of Transportation as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Port Hawkesbury and was the owner of Island Outboard Ltd. In Arichat. He was a member of the Lawrence Kavanaugh Council 4607 in West Arichat and the New Horizon's Seniors Club in Arichat. He was a proud Cape Bretoner and always had the time to stop to talk to people. Clem was a man of patience, kindness and always had a smile. He enjoyed his hobbies of building remote control airplanes and boats, woodworking in his shop, fishing with his friend Hubert David and playing cards with Herman Boudreau. Leonard and the late Emily McDonald along with Adrian and Eleanor Boudreau. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, 633 Veteran's Memorial Drive, in Arichat on Friday, March 27th from 6 - 9PM. Funeral Mass will take place in Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Arichat on Saturday, March 28th at 11AM with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating. Burial to take place at a later date in the Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery. A reception will be held following the Mass in the New Horizon's Seniors Club in Arichat. Memorial donations may be made to theHearts of Isle Madame Disability Society or to the Lung Association (NS).
