Obituary of Genelle Rose Babin

Babin, Genelle Rose - 93, West Arichat It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Genelle Rose Babin which occurred at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston on Sunday, April 19th. Genelle was the daughter of the late Alvin and Ida (Deslauriers) Babin. She was a former member of the Immaculate Conception Parish and C.W.L., West Arichat. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Barbara and Mary, both of West Arichat, Jean(John), Halifax; son Thomas (Myrtle), West Arichat; grandchildren Bernadine (André), Annette (Darcy), Maria (Kris) and Richard (Amanda); great grandchildren Alyssa, Renée, Colin, Félix and Jake; brother Adolphe, West Arichat and sister Lorraine, West Arichat. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel Bonaventure Babin; sister Gertie and brother Alba. She also took care of her special family, Wayne, Delores, Perry, Boyd, Gayle and René from 1968-2013. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral Mass will take place Friday morning at 11am in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, West Arichat. Reception to follow Mass in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Hall, Arichat. Memorial donations can be made to Strait Richmond Hospital Foundation, St. Anne's Community & Nursing Care Centre or to The Canadian Diabetes Society (NS). Funeral Arrangements are Entrusted to C. H.
