Portrusching, James, 42 �" Almaty, Kazakhstan, passed away suddenly at his residence in Almaty on August 20, 2008. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Lillian Portrusching of Halifax. Besides his mother Lillian, James is survived by his loving companion Lubov Ivanova and their son Nikita Ivanov of Moscow; sisters, Sandra Portrusching, Kempt Road, Roslyn (Gerry) Robertson, Eva Portrusching, and Heidi (Rick) MacMullin all of Halifax; two nieces and three nephews. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 31, 2008 in the Black River United Church in Black River from 10am up until time of Memorial Service that will be held in the Black River United Church on Sunday at 2pm, with Rev. Wayne Yorke preceding. Internment will take place in the Black River United Church Cemetery in Black River. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of ones choice.
