Obituary of Richard LeRoux

LeRoux, Richard, 83 - of L'Ardoise, passed away peacefully at his residence in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home, Port Hawkesbury on October 2, 2015. Born in L'Ardoise, he was the son of the late Alexander and Elizabeth Mary (Mombourquette) LeRoux. Richard is survived by his brothers, Gerard Matthews and Clem LeRoux both of L'Ardoise; many nieces and nephews; he will deeply be missed by his brother Gerard and his special niece Margaret (Aubrey) Beaver of Halifax. He was predeceased by brothers, Bernard, Alexander, Charles and Francis in infancy; sisters, Rose Penny, Ann Gagnon, Katherine Somme and Margaret in infancy. Richard was a great step dancer and was one of the best in L'Ardoise. He loved playing the harmonica and his guitar while wearing his cowboy hat. He was on URN step dancing on the Don Messer show. Richard will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral mass. A graveside service will be held in the Holy Guardian Angel Cemetery in L'Ardoise on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rev. Antolin Asur presiding. Memorial donations can be made to the Holy Guardian Angel Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to, C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd, Arichat.
