Our thoughts and prayers are going out to all the Family and Friends of the late Rudolph Boudreau . He was a very kind hearted man and a true player and fan of the PDG Red Caps. He sat on the benches at the Ballfield cold or warm, he was there cheering them on. I remember how he always had a genuine smile to share with those who surrounded him. His love of music , he so shared with so many and the smile told it all. RIP dear friend. Darlene and Roy Sampson, Alliston, Ontario

To the Boudreau family: My sincerest condolences to all of you at this time. I have fond memories of my dealings with Rudolph, especially concerning baseball in the 1970s and 1980s. I enjoyed the stories he would tell me about baseball in Richmond County in the 1950s and 1960s. He was always willing to assist others, such as driving the bus for kids ball teams attending out of County tournaments. I appreciate how much he will be missed by his family, friends, and community. Rudolph was an amazing man & he will be sadly missed by all who knew him especially the community of Petit De Grat. May you Rest In Peace Rudolph! God Bless! ShirleyAnne Samson
Rudolph was my mother’s first cousin. His mother, Delima Rose and my maternal grandmother, Sabine Rose were sisters. After my grandmother died in the 1918 flu epidemic, Delima raised my mother who had been born less than a year before. When Delima got married and had children of her own, my mother helped raise Delima’s children, including Rudolph. When my mother got married after WW II, Delima’s three daughters helped raise me and my siblings. I remember Rudolph playing drums in Fulbert Boudreau’s (his uncle's) orchestra. He also played a bit of piano at our house when my father picked up his fiddle. If I remember correctly, Rudolph had the first TV in Petit-de-Grat which he set up in his garage, about 1954 when TV first came to Cape Breton. We used to go there and watch the test pattern until some show such as “The Honeymooners” came on in the early evening. He will be missed! My deepest sympathies to Gwen and their family, Claude, Celine, Lynette. Bobby à Leon et Delia
