Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dartmouth/Boudreauville
LeBlanc, M. Margaret -97yrs. 8 months, passed away peacefully at home in Dartmouth on March 25, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She is survived by her sons, Raymond (Pearl), D'Escousse, Ralph (Vera), Sheet Harbour and daughter Jeanette Sampson, Dartmouth who Margaret lived with till her passing. She is also survived by brother, Stanley, 99; 8 grandchildren;18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Family was most important to the lady we all called "Meme". Born in Boudreauville, she was the daughter of the late Fred Z. and Adelphine Boudreau. Predeceased by her husband, Simon LeBlanc; son Alfred in infancy; brothers, Delore, Joe, James, Francis, Freddie and Raymond and sister Anna. In her former years, Margaret enjoyed many things, painting, sewing, many crafts, baking, bowling, darts, gardening and enjoyed many games of Rummy with her son Raymond. She also enjoyed listening to her great grandson Rhys playing her favorite song, "Amazing Grace", on the Bag Pipes. Although originally from Boudreauville, Margaret raised her family in Arichat, as well as raising several foster children. She moved to Dartmouth in 1966 to baby sit grandson Darren and never returned. She raised him like another son. Always looked at the brighter side of things. All the family pulled together during this difficult time. Special thanks to Helen Jean, Patricia LeBlanc and Patsy Boudreau for spending time with "Meme" when she needed it. Also VON and Palliative Care were so helpful, without their professional help, I could not have kept her home. And a Special Thank You to Dr. Seth Bloom, for all your house calls, guidance and special care during this difficult time. Visitation will take place 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday April 1st in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat. Funeral Mass will be held 11am Saturday, April 2nd in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating. A reception will follow the service in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Hall. Interment will take place at a later date in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery, Arichat. Memorial donations can be made to St. Ann De Beau Pre, or any charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd. in Arichat.
