Obituary of Joseph William Bouchard

BOUCHARD, Joseph W. - 96, St. Peter's, formerly of River Bourgeois, passed away peacefully at his residence at the Richmond Villa in St. Peter's on December 3, 2008 Born Sept. 15, 1912 in River Bourgeois, he was the son of the late Elias and Grace (Bourque) Bouchard. He worked at the Dock Yard in Halifax during WW 11, and at MacLean's Groceries in St Peters, for over 20 years. Surviving is the love of his life, his wife the former Margaret Beranger; daughters, Mary Morrison, Mississauga, Ont., Anita (Gerard) Wynands, New Glasgow, Emily (Peter) LeBlanc, River Bourgeois; sons, Richard (Genie), Toronto, Arthur (Linda) River Bourgeois. His pride and joy were his 12 grandchildren and 9 great grand children. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was pre-deceased by his son Edmond in infancy; brothers, Fred, Eddy, John, William, Clarence, (Kenny), and Alcantra; sisters, Bertha Landry, Angeline Burke. Visitation will be held this evening from 7-9 pm for family only in the River Bourgeois Community Funeral, River Bourgeois also from where public viewing will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday morning at 11:00 am in St. John the Baptist Church, River Bourgeois, with Rev. Everett MacDow officiating. Burial will take place in St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery, River Bourgeois. No flowers please. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of ones choice.
