Sampson, Cara Ann, 71, Pondville. It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the death of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on September 6, 2016 in Halifax. Born in Louisbourg, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Jeanette (Britten) Hearn. Cara cherished her family and they cherished her. Cara was a dedicated teacher in Richmond County for 35years. She enjoyed traveling, camping, reading, the family's fur-babies and just spending time with her loved ones. Along with her husband Richard, Cara was active in their church. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Richard Sampson, daughter Rose Marie Ali (Bob) Halifax and son Wayne Sampson (Angela) Ottawa, 4 grandchildren Dawn, Nicole, Dale, Jessica and great-grand-son Owen, sister Barbara Gibson (Gary), brothers: Ronald (Darlean), Robert, Gerard, Roderick and sister in law Wanda. She was predeceased by father Norman, mother Jeanette, brother Ronald in infancy, sister Lorraine. Cara was the center of her family's world. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Heaven has gained another angel. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Wednesday, September 14th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A funeral mass will be held on September 15th in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating at 11 a.m.. Burial to follow in St. Hyacinth Parish Cemetery, D'Escousse. A reception will be held immediately following in the D'Escouse Civic Improvement Hall, D'Escousse. Memorial donations can be made to St. Hyacinth Cemetery Fund.
