Obituary of Theresa Ann Landry

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and true friend, Annie Landry, 52 of Louisdale that occurred suddenly on December 16, 2016 as the result of an MVA that occurred while on her way to work where she was employed at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston as a chef. She was on her way to make sure that the patients had a traditional Christmas dinner. Born on December 5, 1964 in Arichat, she was the daughter of John Joseph and Delores Mary (Samson) Marchand of Louisdale. She was an amazing cook, loved Facebook games, and was best known for helping others, and for her morning cups of tea and heart to heart chats. Annie will be missed by the love of her life, her mother Delores and Annie's husband Al. Annie was not only Jennifer's mother, she was her best friend, her rock, her air; her everything. The bond between them was unbreakable. To best friend Diane, "Although I had to leave you so soon, always know that when you see the dragonfly go by, it is me flying beside you." She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 29 years, Alcantra "Buzzie" Landry; daughter Jennifer (partner Valerie Del Duca); Furry baby boy Ry Ry; brothers Glenn (Leeanne), Jerry (Kathleen), both of Louisdale, Dean (Amanda), Antigonish; Father-in-Law, Alcantra Landry, River Bourgeois; Godchildren Connor Shute, Kara Marchand, Ryan Samson; many nieces and nephews for whom she had a special place in her heart. Annie was predeceased by her Paternal grandparents Celina and Tommy Marchand; Maternal grandparents, Francis and Florie Samson; Mother-in-Law, Dorothy Landry and Special Aunt Emily MacDonald. Visitation will be held Thursday in the Glen Sampson Room in Louisdale from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place Friday morning in St. Louis Church, Louisdale at 11:00am with Rev. Callistus Abazie officiating. Burial to take place at a later date. A reception will be held in St. Louis Parish Hall, Louisdale following the mass. Memorial donations may be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home Limited, Arichat.
