Obituary of Joseph Adelard Samson

Samson, Joseph Adelard, 85 - Little Anse, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2009 at St. Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish with his loving family by his side. Born in Little Anse, Adelard was the son of the late Walter and Eva (Marchand) Samson. He was formerly employed as a carpenter at Richmond Fisheries in Petit De Grat for 35 years until his retirement.
Adelard is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Germaine Claire (Pertus); daughters: Edna Samson (Amédée J.), Little Anse, and Paula Marchand (Kelly), Hammonds Plains; grandchildren: Stephanie, Christopher, Gracen and Zachary; sister: Catherine Clannon, Little Anse; and brothers: Walter, Little Anse, and Eric (Amelia), West Arichat. He was predeceased by his brothers Daniel, Little Anse, and James Benoit, Ontario.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Tuesday from 1-2pm, at the C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3pm at St. Joseph's Church, Petit De Grat, with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating. Burial will follow at the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit De Grat.
