Obituary of Bernard Amable Boudreau

BOUDREAU, Bernard Amable - 71,West Arichat It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard Amable Boudreau Sr. "Bernie" of West Arichat, which occurred at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston on November 27th, 2017 with his family by his side. Born in Grande Greve, NS October 22, 1946, he was the son of the late Process and Margaret (Gerrior) Boudreau. He was a long time member of the Local Carpenters Union #1588. During his early years, you could always find him at the baseball field. He played many years with the Arichat A's. In his later years, he developed a real passion for antique cars and could often be seen out tinkering on them or shining them up. Bernard will be sadly missed by his wife Arlene of 51 years, his daughter Michelle (Rick) Doucett, and his sons: Bernard (Maureen); Leroy (Shelley); and Dion (Phoebe). He is also survived by his grandchildren Jordan, Coady, Chantal, Kristen, Blake, Grace, Makayla, Brayden; and his great grandson Jaxon. Other family members include his brothers Murdock (Nancy) Jean, George (Vincy) Jean, and George Brown as well as his sisters Eileen Jeffrey, Leona Hachey, Elizabeth (Felix) Hachey, and Leona Brown. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: Albert, Leonard, Armond, Alex and Leotine. There will be no visitation per request. Funeral Mass will take place Friday, December 1st at 11am at our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat, NS with Rev. Michel Exelant officiating. Interment to follow in the Acadiaville Columbarium in West Arichat. Memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or to St. Anne's Centre, Arichat.
