Samson, A. Dean�" 46, Hebron, Yarmouth County, passed away at home on January 20, 2006. Born in Arichat on Nov. 6, 1959, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Leontine Samson. Dean is survived by sons Kenzie (fiancée Vickie Robicheau) and Nelson both at home, very special friend, Gail Crowell (Pubnico-Ouest), brothers and sisters: Pierre (Bev), Ben (Françoise), Edwin (Phyllis), Kevin (Colette), Colleen DeWolfe (Arthur), Charlene Bonin (Jerry), all of Île Madame and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Donna (Britten). Dean worked as a mechanic at Britten's Service Center in Martinique for several years before joining the Fisheries & Oceans/Pêche et Océans Canada as a Law Enforcement Officer. Dean was also an A/Cst. with the RCMP in Arichat and in Yarmouth as well as a dedicated Fire Fighter with the Isle Madame Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Dean always enjoyed participating in sports. He will be resting at the C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat where visitations will take place on Monday, January 23rd from 7 to 9 p.m., on Tuesday, January 24th from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 25th from 9 to 10 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 25th at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Petit De Grat, Fathers J.J. MacDonald and Rémi Tremblay officiating. Burial will follow in the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit De Grat. Family flowers only by request. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Dean and Donna Samson Scholarship Fund to be established in their honour (donations can be made at the Funeral Home or the Credit Unions in Petit De Grat or Yarmouth).
