O'Hearn, John James SSgt (Retired)�" 75, Pondville, Richmond County, passed away May 5, 2006, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Everett, Mass., he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Bona) O'Hearn. John served in the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force from 1950 �" 1971 and was a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. John was active in the community and was employed by Walmart Canada. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, the former Lillian Boudreau; son Michael (Michelle), Houston Texas; daughters, Karyn and Cheryl both of Sydney; sister, Catherine Ann Johnston, Sydney; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Bernadette. Visitation will be held in the C.H. Boudreau Funeral home, Arichat on Sunday, May 7, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Service of Remembrance will be held Monday morning at 11am in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat, with Rev Stephane Gamache officiating. Burial to follow, in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery, Arichat. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to the Strait Richmond Hospital Palliative Care Society, or to Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery Fund.
