Obituary of Mary Muriel Britten

Britten Mary Muriel �" 82, Arichat, passed away, June 11, 2006, in the Strait Richmond Hospital, in Evanston. Born in D'Escousse, she was the daughter of the late Bonaventure and Delvina (Fougere) Landry. Muriel was a member of Our Lady of Assumption C.W.L., a founding member of St Anne's Hospital Ladies Auxillary and also the C.A.M.R Adult Workshop in Arichat. She was very active in various community organizations and with Our Lady of Assumption Church. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty one years, Francis Stanislaus; daughters, Sharon Britten, Delores MacDonald (Rod), both of Port Hawkesbury, Colleen MacRae (Henry), Dundee, Cindy Britten, Arichat; son, Mark (Michelle) Port Hawkesbury; sister, Doris LeBlanc, D'Escousse; grandchildren, Trisha Lynn MacLean (Mike), Amanda MacDonald, Philip Britten and Andrew Britten, and foster grandchildren Michael Matthews, and Christena McKeown. She was predeceased by her son, Dennis Francis; daughters, Lucy Nola and Lucy Marlaine; sister Marjorie; grandson, John Robert MacDonald and Jamie Britten. A Service of Remembrance will be held Wednesday morning at 11am in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat, with Rev Stephane Gamache officiating. Burial to follow, in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery, Arichat. Memorial donations may be made to St Anne Community & Nursing Care Centre in Arichat.
