Dearest Family of Alcide. I am so sorry to hear about this. I know it will be hard for all of you but if he was suffering he is in a better place. Maybe him and Lorenzo will get into one of their wrestling matches again.I can still see the two of them in back of their mothers house throwing each other around. They could have been hurt really bad and I think Alcide was one time but they laughed and forgot it.I was so happy that he got to see Lorenzo before he passed and I am sure he was also. I will miss him even if I only got to see him those few times that we had.He was a dear person. Love to all of you.

I want you all to know that my family had a lot of respect for your dad, he spent a lot of time with mommy and was good company for her, now he is keeping her company again. I hope you boys can maintain the wonderful sense of humor that your dad had because he made me laugh long and hard on more than one occasion. Gary I'm sorry I won't be there to return the support you gave me when mom passed on but my heart is with you and your brothers. The Roy/Anne Marie and family clan wish you all a large day.

To Alcide, Bobby, Gary, Ronnie, Stevie & all the family. I know this has been a very long and difficult time for all of you. It is not easy watching someone you love slowly slipping away. I do know that this is where Uncle Alcide wanted to be, with Aunt Katherine and with God. I will always remember him for his laughter, jokes, and his cup of tea which he always had in front of him. Even all the times I would call to see how he was, Sylvia or Gary would pass on a comment or a joke which I would ask them to tell him, and he always had a comeback for me. He never lost his sense of humor, even through all the bad times. We will miss you, and always love you Uncle Alcide. To Sylvia & Gary, I know these past two years have been very difficult for you. I commend you both for your courage and support to Uncle Alcide. You both deserve a pat on the back, you were his two Guardian Angels. Love to you all. Garry, Mom , Rose, Alcide, Ghislaine, Bobby, Susan, Ronnie, Jo, Steve & Cathy I would like to first start out by saying that I am so proud of mom & Garry for all that they have done in the last few years. I wish that we could be there with you and the family during this time but unfortunately we cant. I was so happy that we got to spend Christmas with him and even though he was sick he still had jokes and come backs for all of us. I know that he is with Aunt Kay and everyone else that we love so I know he will be ok; going home and driving up Duncan Rd will never be the same but we will always have great memories of the Gionet House. I would like to thanks Garry's Brother's for all that they have done and also Garry B., George, Perry, Bobby, Our Family and everyone else on Duncan RD for being such great support for my mom & Garry. It has been difficult being so far away during these past couple of years. The reality of losing someone you love can be tough when you can't be there to support your loved ones. I do have comfort in knowing that you can take care of each other and support each other during this sad time... Mom and Dad, I love you and I know that you can be strong together in order to get through this. Gary and Sylvia... No words can really describe how grateful we are that Papa had you to take care of him. The journey has been difficult I'm sure, but I'm positive that it has made you stronger as individuals and as a team. I will miss my grandfather dearly. Mick and I have such fond memories of Garry's dad from our last camping trip thru Cape Breton. Sitting at Garry and Sylvia's kitchen table, over steaks (of course) and enjoying his company; I will always see him sitting there in his little sweater and big grin.
