My memories of Stella and the family go back sixty or more years. She was always a gracious hostess to me and my parents, whether we met at the store or in her home. It is with deep sorrow that we have learnt of the passing of Stella LeBlanc. Anne, Ed and family Binet pass on our deepest sorrow to her family. She was a strong and vibrant woman who never sacrificed her integrity. She will be sadly missed by all those people she touched. May her memories live on through her family and those fortunate to have met her.

Sincere condolences to the Le Blanc family. It is almost 58 years since I left Arichat and some of my most vivid memories are of CJ, Naomi, Ulysse and Stella Le Blanc. The latter two were very well known to me given as a young lad at school I worked in the garage for nearly 7 years pumping petrol, changing tyres, selling radios etc etc - all under the direction and guidance of Ulysse and Stella. Their kindness and mentoring over those years are embedded. I will miss my annual visit with Stella - we would reminisce about many past good times and she always updated me on the ongoings of Isle Madame and family. She is now gone, but the special memories of a "stellar" lady are retained. From the other side of the world my condolences go to Guy, Chris and family members.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Stella and I have some fond memories of her. Yes, she could be fiesty at times but underneath it all was a big heart. She hated getting up in the morning and I would always get her up with a joke. She seemed to prefer the dirty ones! (Haha). Chris, you are to be commended for the care that you've provided for "Nana" which allowed her to remain in her home. She was soo... proud of her family and she always spoke highly about all of you. She used to tell me stories and I enjoyed my visits with her. Sometimes it was confusing for her with so many home support workers going in but I would wear a certain pair of earrings and when I'd go in she would say"Who are you?" and I would tug my ear and then she say, "Oh, I know you now". Hi to all the Family, Just wanted to say we all had some good family times,remembering back to stock taking day at U.J.LeBlanc's we would all hurry to count in the morning patiently waiting for noon when Stella would come down to the Store with her 25 pound turkey and trimmings and chocolate cake for dessert. We were all like a herd of sheep following her to back shop to have lunch. Stella would be tough with us when she had to be but if anything looked like someone was going to give us a hard time she would watch over us like we were one of her own. It is sad to see her gone but she enjoyed life one day at a time.
