I don't think I'll ever forget Austin Nickerson and his talking parrot. We used to go visit him from time to time at his house and he used to make his parrot talk to me. R.I.P budd.

Perry , just learned of Austin's passing and from the pictures realize where you got your smile. I know he's had a hard time recently and now has found some peace. Austin obviously packed a lot of living into his life and we can only hope to accomplish a portion of what he did. A pretty tough act to follow. Dear Perry, Trudy & families, Please accept our sincere condolences on the death of your father, Austin. Many happy memories were had at the Nickerson pool as we watched Debbie & Stephen's kids having fun cannonballing in the pool or playing with the dog, listening to Austin and Irene's constant concerns -- ie. where's Tyson ? "now chew that good girls" (to Tanya & Tennille) etc. They played an important role in Stephen's upbringing, and his extended family is grateful for all that Austin did for him. The community as a whole mourns their loss, and your family is in our constant thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace with his beloved Irene.
