Obituary of Virginia Monica Sampson

SAMPSON., Virginia Monica, 88 St. Peter's, passed away peacefully at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston, on Sunday, December 20, 2009. Born in Thibeauville, Richmond County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Margaret Ann (Boudreau) Thibeau. Monica is survived by her daughters, Sheila Cassie (Jerry), Lois Purvis (Barry), both of Hamilton, Ontario, Karen Sampson (Michael), St. Peter's; sons, William "Bill", (Beverly), Dartmouth, Gary,(Christine Holmes) Mexico, Wayne, (Murdena), Fort James, B.C., Arnold, D'Escousse; sisters, Sr. Madeline Thibeau RSCJ, Halifax, Estelle Bennett, Hamilton, Ont., Veronica Thibeau, Burlington, Ont.; eleven grandchildren; She was proud to be called "GG" by her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Edgar, Richard, Joseph Cosmas, Louis, sister, Gladys Touesnard. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am, in St Peter's Catholic Church in St. Peter's, with Rev Everett MacDow officiating. Burial to take place at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society (NS).
