LANDRY, Emilie Marie Lillian — 99. It is with broken hearts that we announce the death of our dear mother, grandmother and aunt, on March 6, 2010, in Northside General Hospital in North Sydney."Tante Lilly" was born in Poirier, Richmond Co., on December 10, 1910, to the late William Henri "Willie" and Mary (Poirier) Bona. She was a member of St. Hyacinth Parish, D' Escousse, Richmond Co. her whole life. She was an avid sports fan, loved her Blue Jays and Montreal Canadians, bowled well into her eighties and was an excellent cook and crafts person. Survived by her son, Oswald (Helen), New Waterford; sister, Cecelia Sievert, Dartmouth; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Leo; daughter-in-law, Annette and Tante Lilly to four generations of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred Charles; daughter, Leona; son, Warner; brothers, Hubert, John; sisters, Eva, Marcelline, Lena, Louise, Alma and Viola. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 11, in St Hyacinth Parish Wake Room, D'Escousse, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Farewell will be held on Friday morning at 11 a.m. in St. Hyacinth Church, D'Escousse, with Rev. John J. MacDonald officiating. Burial will follow in St. Hyacinth Parish Cemetery, D' Escousse. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one's choice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Minor`s Memorial Manor where Tante Lilly lived, for their excellent care given to her while she was a resident.
