Condolences
Dearest Family of Lucy May Martell, I join with so many others who knew Lucy May in offering our deepest sympathy on her passing. Although it is little consolation at this sad time, it should be of some satisfaction to know that in her passing you can celebrate the end of a very long and productive life. The measure of a life well-lived is not in how much money one has or what possessions they have accumulated, but rather through the lives they touched and the sorrow they leave behind. If the outpouring of sympathy on his loss is any indication, and it most certainly is, you can proudly and confidently say that she indeed was a life well-lived. May you find peace and comfort in knowing that her loss is felt by all who knew and loved her. Love, Laura Martin
Lucy May by Carol Anderson Sellick <Carol.Sellick@sympatico.ca> You probably don't recognize my name- I'm Margaret Sampson's daughter. It's only been 4 or 5 years since I've seen Lucy May. I got to visit the Halifax relatives several times recently because of Ambrose's illness and passing but somehow there never seemed to be enough time for the trip to Cape Breton. And now I've missed my last chance. Lucy May was one of my most favourite people in the whole world. She always made me laugh even if either of us were in a bad mood. I loved the sparkle in her eye and her strength of character and I can't tell you how much I will miss her. I'm so sorry for your loss. Carol

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Lucy May. She was a great friend to my Father, Jacques (Jim) Thibeau when he was in the Senior Apt's in Petit de Grat back in the 80's & 90's. We will keep her in our prayers
Sorry to hear of the passing of Lucy May. I always made it a point to visit her once a year when I was down visiting friends when she was in St. Peters and in the nursing home in Port Hawkesbury. My condolences go out to you and your families. Edward Martell (Desire's son) in Halifax.
Valmon and Herold it is with my deepest sympathy and sadness to say how sorry I am for the loss of your beautiful mother. Your Mom was one in a million. She was the kindest person I knew in Rockdale. What a great loss to you both. You are in my thoughts.

Harold, Valma and families, our deepest condolences on the passing of your Mother. Our prayers are with you at this very sad times in your lives.
We are sad to hear that Lucy May passed away. I remember her as being very "spirited" in her younger years when we used to live in Isle Madame - and she always had a story to tell, always took the time to stop and chat. She will certainly be missed by those who knew her. Lucy Mae, rest in peace ~ Our condolences are extended to your family.
Velma, Harold and family. My deepest condolences with the passing of your Mother. My frequent visits in the past six years have brought us very close. With her stories and friendship I have learned so much about our family, past and present. She was definitely one smart lady.
