Obituary of Francis Stanislaus Britten

Britten, Francis Stanislaus - 90, Arichat. It is with great sadness that we, the family of Frank, have to announce his passing on May 31, 2011 at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston. Born in Poirierville, he was the son of the late Matthew and Mary Jane (Burke) Britten. Frank was a former employee of Booth Fisheries and Richmond Fisheries for over 27 years as a Stationery Engineer. Frank loved working out in his yard and garden as well as creating projects in his workshop. He loved nature and animals especially his dog Tippy. His constant smile and his great sense of humor displayed his love of life and family. He is survived by son, Mark (Michelle), daughters, Sharon Britten, and Delores MacDonald (Rod) of Port Hawkesbury, Colleen MacRae, Dundee, Cindy Britten, Arichat; daughter-in-law Sandra of Saskatoon, sister, Lorna George (Willard), Arichat; grandchildren, Trisha Lynn (Mike), Amanda, Philip, Andrew, foster grandchildren Michael and Christena; great-grandchildren, Aiden, and Nolan. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Muriel (Landry); son Dennis; daughters, Lucy and Marlaine; grandsons Robert and Jamie; brothers Ralph and Carl; sisters, Edna, Norma, and Roma and son-in-law Henry. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat, on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday afternoon, at 1 p.m. in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat, with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating. Cremation to follow. Burial will take place at a later date in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery, Arichat. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of Assumption Cemetery Fund or to the charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the C.H.
