Obituary of Bruno John Isaac
ISAAC, Bruno John – 77, of Potlotek, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2018 at his home in Potlotek. Born September 27, 1940 in Barra Head, he was the son of the late John and Louise (Nicholas) Isaac. Bruno loved repairing lawnmowers and maintaining his yard. He also loved going to baseball tournaments with his wife Annie, playing waltes with his friends, going fishing at the wharf with his good friend Lillian and he always sang his favorite song, “Dear John”. Bruno enjoyed attending pow wows throughout Cape Breton and the mainland. He enjoyed picking up recyclable bottles and especially loved his orange can of soda pop. He is survived by his wife, Annie Clare (Googoo) Isaac, Potlotek; step daughters, Bridgett Marshall (LeLaucher) Rick, Potlotek, Virginia Marshall, Donna Marshall, Judy Marshall, Mary Marshall all of Membertou, Carol Marshall, Whycocomagh; sons, Hubert Pierro (Dana), Waycobah, Herman Pierro (Christine), Wagmatcook; step sons, John Marshall, Russel Marshall, Allister Googoo, Victor Googoo (Annie) all of Whycocomagh; grandchildren, Lorelei, Houston, Dante, Kendra, Phoenix, Mary Ellen and numerous step grandchildren; also numerous great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Autwen, Henry, Paul, Stephen; sisters, Susan, Annie and Mary. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24th at the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Chapel in Potlotek from 4pm until 10am on Thursday, April 26th. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday morning at 11am in St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Peter’s with Rev. Antolin Asor presiding. Burial will be held in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Barra Head. A salite will be held in the Potlotek Community Hall in Potlotek following the committal.
