Obituary of Doreen Anne Boudreau
BOUDREAU, Doreen Anne, age 66 of Grand Anse, passed away peacefully at her residence in Grand Anse on April 20th, 2019 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Arichat, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Abraham and Mary Catherine (Petrie) Boudreau. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, best friend/partner, sister, grandmother, aunt, friend and step mother. Doreen was a caring, compassionate mother who loved all her children and step children and the light of her life was all her grandchildren. Her patience was endless and her time was so easily given to care for her grandchildren. She loved her telile bingo and a good game of crib with Robie. She loved to care for others and took great pride in lending a helping hand when need be. Doreen spent many years caring for her aging mother and this truly showed her loving nature for her family. Doreen was a dedicated Insurance Broker for 27 years with Causeway Insurance in Port Hawkesbury. Her patience and kindness to all her clients was so easily seen. Doreen is survived by her best friend and the love of her life Robie Wayne MacDonald for the past 42 years; daughter Angie LeBlanc (Shawn), West Bay, son Kyle MacDonald (Kelly) Grande Anse, step daughter, Tammy Rouse (Leslie), Whycocomagh; step son J.Travis MacDonald (Melanie), Grande Anse; grandchildren Kayleigh MacDonald, Amber LeBlanc, Hanna LeBlanc, step grandchildren Kelton Martell, Gage Martell, step grandson Devon Malcolm, step grandchildren Madison MacDonald, Kelton MacDonald, Ava MacDonald, Cody MacDonald and Shelby Rouse; great-great- step granddaughter Isabella MacDonald; brother Donnie Boudreau (Eileen), Evanston; sisters Eileen Boudreau, Boudreauville, Catherine Chaisson (Frank), Louisdale, Susan Molloy (Joe), Halifax, Dianne Pelletier (Paul), Lochside. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Jackie Boudreau. We would like to thank Dr. Cooper, Nancy Cameron and all the Palliative team of RNs, LPNs and CCAs. The level of care, compassion, and dignity our mother was given in the final days will never be forgotten. There will be no visitation.
