Obituary of Mary H. "Mildred" Boudreau
BOUDREAU, Mary H. “Mildred”
It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt on June 16, 2019 at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston, with her loving family by her side. Born in Pondville, October 16, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Sara (Luce) Briand.
Mildred is survived by her daughters, Delores Lavandier with whom she lived with, Muriel Bourque (Gerry), both of West Arichat, Delia Campbell, Fall River; sons, Rene Boudreau (Anne Marie), Gerald Boudreau (Rose) both of Barrachois, Leonard Boudreau (Shirley), Paul Boudreau (Colleen) both of Petit de Grat, Warren Boudreau (Diane), Sydney and Son-In-Law James Goyetche (Maria) of Petit de Grat; 21 grandchildren, Amanda, Daphne, Tamara, Clara, Nicole, René, Rhea, Trevor, Brent, Leigh, Daniel, Nadine, Chas, Shannon, Kim, Amy, Adelle, Scott, Stephen, Deborah and Michelle; 28 great grandchildren, Ajé, Léo, Nolan, Max, Martin, Sophie, Avery, Rylan, Gabe, Alexis, Mea, Leah, Alexandra, Adrian, Ethan, Mya, Chanel, Janelle, Kallum, Gracie, Naomi, Sloane, Olivia, William, Hudson, Priya, Noah and Amelia. To say she left behind quite a legacy is a bit of an understatment!
Mildred is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Leo “Tuc”; Brother Lenus Briand; sisters Therese Boudreau and Amelia Theriault; daughter Marilyn Goyetche, son-in-law Wilfred Lavandier, and daughter-in-law Annette Boudreau.
For the last 4 years Mom lived with Delores and could often be found either knitting, doing puzzles, playing cards or just watching TV (mostly the Young & the Restless or the oh so famous W channel Hallmark movies). You were always greeted with a smile and a cheerful “hello”. For the lucky ones who got to visit know that it was a bit of a sauna at Delores’s house, but if you asked Mom if she was warm, she would respond with a smile on her face, “I’m Just Right” or “I’m OK”.
Special Thanks to the Palliative care team from the Strait Richmond Hospital, along with all the Homecare workers and Nurses who would come daily (and some twice daily) to help with the care of Mom. You all played a Huge role in Mom being able to stay home for so long.
