Obituary of Marina Elizabeth Molaison
Molaison, Marina Elizabeth 79 of Arichat formerly of Pondville passed away peacefully at her residence at St. Ann Centre in Arichat on July 28, 2019. Born in Arichat, she was the daughter of the late Henry Venard and Mary Alma (LeBlanc) Martell.
Marina was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Graduated from St Martha’s School of nursing in 1958, she was a well-respected C.N.A during her years, living on Les Iles De La Madeleine (Quebec). She was also one of the first home care providers for The Municipality of Richmond when home care was introduced.
Marina had a great passion for gardening, fishing and picking berries. She was also a passionate quilt maker among everything else she could sew and knit for her children, grand children neighbours and friends. Her grandchildren will dearly miss her legendary holiday meat pies.
Marina is survived by her daughters, Nicole (David) Molaison Bell, Pictou, Aline (Michael) Langdon, Arichat, Ann Molaison (John Hugh Gillis), Pondville; grandchildren, Jason and Laura Langdon, Tyler and Sarah Sampson; brothers, Henry, Ontario, Herman , Pondville, Harold (Dorothy), Ontario, Hector, Truro; sisters, Maura (David) Boudreau, River Bourgeois, sister-in-laws, Donna Martell and Geraldine Martell both of Pondville. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, André Joseph Molaison; brothers, Hughie and Hubert; step-brother, Fouch Pertus. Per request there will be no visitation or Mass. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to St. Ann Centre in Arichat. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
