To the family I extend my deepest condolences on your loss. Herman was a great person who always respected the people he came to know. Great singer and always opened his space to have others join him. Never had a harsh word to say about anybody. Many years I spent with some of the Martell family and they have meant a lot to me as true friends over the years. I have great memories of Herman.

He said no you have to come to my room and sing (I forget the song) but that one song turned into a night that was longer than the day. Rest easy my friend.
