LeBlanc Family So very sorry for your loss of your mom, grand mother & great grand mother. Charlotte was a very special lady. Hope the memories of all the happy times you shared help you through this difficult time. My thoughts are with you
When I think back, I realized how old I am. Charlotte passes away at the age of 91 and I knew her mom. My sister wrote about having supper at the LeBlanc's when she was younger. I remember going to Charlotte's mom's with Rita Bowser who was Charlotte's neice. Rita has since passed away, so hopefully Charlotte will see her up there too. Now all you grandchildren and nieces and nephew did you know that your great grandmother's nickname was "La Petite Poulet", now am not sure why they called her that, she was a very short woman so maybe that is where the "Petite" came from but not sure why they called her "Poulet". I wish I could of told her that my mother said I could not eat there cause she would give Rita and I "blood pudding" for a meal. I can't imagine that i ate that when I was a kid, can't imagine eating it now either. When I think back maybe the poor "petite poulet" was poor and had nothing else to feed us, guess we shouldn't of gone there to eat. But she was a very sweet and quiet lady, think Charlotte took after her mom. I don't remember Charlotte's father so he must of being long gone when I was a kid. But it's so very nice to have memories from our childhood. Growing up in River Bourgeois, we did not know how lucky we were, nice having he memories of people long gone. Charlotte you were always a very kind, quiet spoken lady and who loved her card games, I was her partner a few times at the tavern in St. Peters, not sure if we won or not but had fun anyway.
My earliest memories of Charlotte, are from the time Marie Bowser (Charlotte's niece) and I would row over to the LeBlanc house, in the early afternoon, during the summer months. My mother's parting shot was always, "Come home before supper, they have enough to feed without you". I remember Fred walking away from the house, aiming his gun at the sky, and within a few minutes, there would be two or three pheasants on the ground. In no time, the birds would be pot-roasting, while Charlotte baked dozens of tea biscuits. When everything was cooked, there followed a "Walton" style meal. My usual 'weak' protests of, "My mother said I couldn't stay for supper", were always followed by Charlotte's retort of, "Sit down, I'll deal with your mother". I never did have to be told twice. After I arrived home, if my Mom had anything to say, in spite of her earlier warning, I had eaten at the LeBlancs, I would simply state, "Charlotte made me".
Sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. We are glad we had gotten the chance to know her, she was a Beautiful lady. God Bless you all.
Gerald,Janet,Lisa,Daphne and all the LeBlanc family my deepest condolences goes out to all of you...She was a wonderful person and she will be deeply missed.

Helen, Bernie et toute la famille, Nous voulons vous offrir nos plus sincères condoléances suite au décès de Charlotte LeBlanc. Nous espérons que le bons moments passés ensemble sauront vous soulager dans votre deuil.
Charlotte was a kind, loving, and outgoing person. She lived life to the fullest, and seem to have many interests. She leaves many descendants, whom I'm sure are left with a huge void, in their lives and hearts. I feel blessed to have known Charlotte, for many years. I cherish the last conversation I had with her in August 2013. May not only her quilts, but loving memories of a wonderful mom, grandmom and great-grandmom, keep you warm.
To Charlotte's family, so very sorry to hear of the passing of your mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She raised all 14 kids, that was a big job in itself. Thanks for having Peter cause he is so good to my sister and nieces. Will be thinking of you all in the next few days, always hard no matter how old they are. Her quilts were always so beautiful, man she could do such a good job on them all. God bless you all.
