Footprints;
One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

Dear Elizabeth, Catherine Ann, Jean, Sharon, Rosalie, Geralyn and Arthur,
So sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. God has taken one of His earthly Angels back home. I loved her as everyone else who ever knew her did. She will be missed, not only by her family, but by the whole community. Take comfort in knowing she is with her God now. Our deepest condolences for her whole family. Sincerely Judy and Earl Doyle
Meda , you will be greatly missdd by your family . You were the queen of making bread and rolls . You made the bread and rolls and gave them away , after your hard work i am sure God was at the door waiting for you, your kindness and thoughtfulness brought you to Gods place . You left behind lovely girls , that are very kind just like ypu. They were there for you till the end .God bless you girls for such a good job.
My sincere condolences to all of “Meda’s” daughters, Arthur and their families. One of the first times I met your mom she told me “I just back back from San Francisco!” I didn’t know her well enough to know if she was telling me the truth, so I asked her to tell me more about her trip. She looked at me with her beautiful smile and said “I’m just joking! I knew then what a character she could be. I’ll miss seeing her beautiful face and her stories! Rest In Peace Lovely Lady!
Although we knew Mamere was not well, it remains hard to accept we will not see her again. There is comfort knowing she will suffer no more and was surrounded by loved ones before she left for a better place. We may not be able to make new memories with her, but we have so many fantastic ones to hold onto. In elementary school, Wayland and I used to go to Mamere's after school and she would always make us 'griades' and macaroni; was it ever greasy and good. We played card games of 45 for hours and you could always tell when she had a good hand (unfortunately for us, she often did). It was a pleasure to bring her fish we caught or clams we dug. She loved seafood so much and her face would light up when we arrived with the goods. Our faces would light up the same way when we had a chance to eat her bread, buns and meat pie. We are so fortunate that Mitchell, Cora and Andrew got to know Mamere so well and play hours and hours of Dame de Pique with her. We all had so many laughs in the kitchen eating, drinking and playing cards over the years. They will remember her forever and not many great grandchildren have that opportunity. Every time we come back home to Cape Breton, Mamere is always the first person we visit. It is going to be hard not visiting her next time.
We love you Mamere ("Je t'aime"),

Meda was a beautiful soul. So many memories of our CWL conventions and gatherings. She was a mother to all of us. Joyful in happy times and grieved with us in times of loss. She loved her family tremendously and rejoiced in their successes. CWL Masses will be her signature, hummingbirds will describe her parish priest at one time, elevators will be a sore spot but being the only one asked to dance at a CWL pub night will resonate within our hearts forever. Such a gem but a lover of life and family will remain within our hearts. Love you Meda!
Our Deepest sympathy to the family of a beautiful lady. She always welcomed us with a warm loving smile and always wanted a hug.I know my brother Eric loved her like a son loved his mother, God Bless your family during this sad time.

With so much craziness in the world right now, it was always heart warming to know that we grew up with women like Meda. She was a wonderful woman and a testament to the strength and love that came from our elders. My heartfelt condolences to all of her children and grands. May she rest in peace now in the arms of God and all those loved ones that left before her and we waiting for her at the gates. Joy & Vaughn Resch - xoxoxoxo
