Obituary of Mary Pauline Falconer

With deep sadness and broken hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Pauline (Boudreau) Falconer at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney on March 18, 2021. Pauline was born in Cape Auguet, Richmond County, January 27, 1950 to the late Joseph and Alfreda (Briand) Boudreau. She is survived by the love of her life husband Alan; loving daughter Alana (Shaun) MacLeod, brothers Edwin (Hope) Arichat; Vernie (Petit De Grat); Mark (Sophia) Timberlea, and Brent (Halifax); sisters Sylvia (Boudreauville), Muriel (Petit De Grat), Amy (Cliff) Palm Springs, California; brother-in-law Stewart (Bea) Falconer; Bob Coburn; sister-in-law Carole (Joe Farrell) and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her in-laws Stewart and Marjorie Falconer and sister-in-law Ann Cameron. Mom was a waitress at Jasper's restaurant for 32 years until its closure in 2007, where she met many great customers with her infectious smile working alongside Louise and Becky. She was pleasantly surprised to be given an award in recognition and appreciation of her outstanding contribution to the Principles and Practice of Hospitality and Service as promoted by the Cape Breton Tourism Association in 1991. Mom enjoyed bowling for many years especially the road trips taken with the girls. She also enjoyed playing bingo and will be missed by her bingo buddies especially Cathy. The family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the staff of EHS, Emergency Department, ICU and Palliative Care unit for the excellent care given to Mom. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be held on July 31st in Our Lady of Assumption Cemetery in Arichat at 1:00pm with Rev. Jean Battiste-DeCoste presiding.
