Dear Angele & Family.
Sending our most sincere condolences on Louise's passing. Know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers .
Louise was an original member of the Isle Madame Garden Club, and was very instrumental in setting up this new chapter of NSAGC in District 1. She continued to be active in every function of the club for several years. Her contributions were endless, and helped to make the club a fun and educational activity for everyone. Louise still had so much to give and was taken too soon. She will be forever remembered and sadly missed by members of her sister club from North Sydney, who shared activities and special events with Isle Madame club. We are blessed to have known her.
Lorna Williams, acting secretary of North Sydney Garden Club.
Shocked to hear about Louise’s passing. My deepest sympathy goes out to Angelle and family members. May you find strength, love and support from friends and family and the community to get through this most difficult time. Sending love and prayers to everyone affected by this great loss. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.RIP
Louise was such a giving person. Early memories of her include preparing crafts for Girl Guides and house-mothering at the Gaelic College.
I taught with Louise for many years at Felix Marchand School. She remained dedicated to her students, always dragging into school some "visual" or activity that would help to develop skills in a second language. Health issues forced her to retire but she continued to work tirelessly with a refugee family, trying to make Petit-de-Grat home.
RIP dear friend. I know you'll enjoy cultivating gardens and helping to keep flowers in bloom.
Deepest, heartfelt condolences to every member of Louises' Family, may she Rest In Peace...
My deepest condolences to the all of Louise's family. Dollene

"Madame Louise" taught Shannon at TEC. She was kind but not afraid to challenge students. It would not be an exaggeration to say Louise helped lay the foundation for Shannon's later academic success. For years, the bed Shannon slept in was a loft bed we went down to Petit-de-Grat to get at Mme. Louise's home. It is a shame that more students did not get the chance to have her as a teacher. Rest easy and condolences to her daughter, family and friends.
My earliest memory of Louise is of her making snacks for Angelle and I while we played on the slip n' slide outside her house. She would encourage us to stay out even when my dad was waiting at the door to take me home. Louise also introduced me to the concept of allergies; younger Lauren did not understand why we had to go to Lisa DeWolf's house to have our oranges peeled. Louise was my first Sparks leader; firm but caring. There was never any shortage of materials for crafts or ideas for songs. At sleepovers, she was never fooled by the "fake sleeping" I attempted in order to win her morning chocolate chip pancakes.
Despite the challenges she faced with her health, she continued to provide for others; whether it be volunteering at various organizations or donating knitted clothing & blankets to people in the hospital. She set an excellent example of caring for both family and strangers and I will pay it forward in remembrance of her.
Our sincere condolences to family and friends may she rest in peace
