Obituary of Isabella Bella Catherine Sampson

SAMPSON, Isabella C. “Bella”, Louisdale Bella Sampson, 80 years, of Louisdale passed away peacefully suddenly at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish on Sept. 03, 2021 with family by her side. Born in Cheticamp on November 02, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Leonie and Anita (Camus) Muise. Bella was raised in Cheticamp, where she found her love of fiddle music and step dancing. She moved to Halifax as a teenager to live with her sister, where she met the love of her life, Cletus. They were married in 1961 and welcomed their one and only child, Lisa, in 1966. They moved to Louisdale in 1975 and lived there until their passing. In September of 1991, her one and only grandchild, Lauren, was born. She would later bless her with twin great grand daughters in October of 2017. They were her pride and joy and she loved nothing more than spending time with them and was grateful she was able to see them learn to walk and talk, among many other things. In addition, Bella was a former member of the Louisdale Lioness for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Sampson whom she lived with, granddaughter, Lauren Sampson (Richard Martell), twin great-granddaughters, Everly and Henley Martell, all of Louisdale; Niece, Debbie Cormier; nephew, Blair Pettipas, both of Cheticamp; several cousins; great-nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is was predeceased by husband, Cletus Sampson; sister, Marie Larade. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Thursday evening, September 9th from 6-8pm. Funeral mass to celebrate her life, will be held Friday afternoon at 2pm in St. Louis Church, Louisdale with Father Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial to follow in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. Covid Restrictions and protocols will be in place.
